YES Kits

It is time to think about school supplies for our children.  The Missions Committee reminds us that it is also time to remember that some of our children live in West Africa.  For the past 19 years, the United Methodist Women have sewn the Y.E.S. (Youth Education Supply) bags.  Last year, 105 bags were sewn, filled and shipped.  New Y.E.S. bags have now been sewn and will be in the Narthex on July 25, ready to be filled.  These bags, through Operation Classroom, will be shipped to the College of West Africa in Monrovia, Liberia.  

There is a supply list for high school and one for elementary students.  Please stop in the Narthex to pick up the supply list of your choice and bags to fill.  Please note that the need is greater for the High School "YES" kits.

If you are unable to shop and purchase the supplies, you may wish to contribute money for that purpose instead.  If so, make your check payable to New Haven UMC and mark Y.E.S. in the memo area.  Our goal is to fill the bags and have them ready for shipping in September.
