Upward Basketball

 
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading provides a positive sports experience for every child and makes the most of your family's time and money. 
Positive Sports Experience:
  • Friendly sports environment where children have fun
  • Trained coaches and referees that encourage your child
  • Life lessons shared at each practice
Basketball:
  • Teaches fundamentals
  • Unique drafting system creates balanced teams
  • Unique substitution system produces equal playing time
Cheerleading:
  • Teaches fundamentals
  • Positive cheers, chants and pom routines
  • Encourages player and crowd excitement on game day
Good Value:
  • Quality game-day uniform, other sport specific gear and multiple recognition awards
  • One-hour practices and one-hour games
  • Access to TeamUpward.com created specifically for Upward Sports athletes

Registration fees:

  • Basketball $55 (after October 9th $65)
  • Cheerleading $58 (after October 9th $68)

Evaluations & Orientations: (every child must attend one)

  • Kindergarten & 1st Grade Basketball is Saturday, October 22nd between 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
  • 2nd & 3rd Grade Basketball is Satuday, October 22nd between 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
  • 4th & 5th Grade Basketball is Saturday, October 22nd between 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
  • Cheerleading orientation is Saturday, October 22nd between 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
  • Make up evaulations are on Saturday, October 29th following the same schedule as above

League Schedule:

  • Practices begin on Monday, January 2nd
  • Games begin on Saturday, January 21st
  • Awards celebration is on Sunday, March 11th

We are currently seeking sponsors for our next Upward season.  Our sponsors make it possible for this wonderful program to happen and keep the enrollment costs for the participants affordable so that many children can be involved.  If interested in becoming a sponsor, contact the Church Office.
 
 

Slow-Pitch Softball

All games will be played at Kreager Park.    
If you have questions or need more information, contact the church office at 749-9565. 

Once the games begin, we encourage everyone to go out and support the team.
